Spending a Quick Weekend in Sedona
How to spend a quick but fun weekend in Sedona, Arizona based on our adventures.
While working in Arizona everyone told us Sedona was the Arizona city to visit. So one weekend we finally decided to check it out and fell in love with the views and the amazing outdoor adventures.
The dark red colors are even more amazing in person. If you only have a limited amount of time in Arizona, Sedona should be on your list.

Where to Stay
Airbnb
Going along with most of our Arizona vacations we decided to rent from Airbnb. We rented a small guest house that only had a bed and a full bathroom, no kitchen. For us, it was perfect because it let us stay closer to downtown for cheaper.
Since we live in a tiny home the lack of space didn't bother us. We were out adventuring most of the time and so a lounging area wasn't important. Laying in bed while watching the TV was very relaxing and if we NEEDED a place to sit, the outside area worked perfectly.
There was one thing that we must admit was a bit odd. The bathroom only had a sheer curtain for the door which was not ideal.
To be fair, our trailer bathroom also has a curtain for a door but it's a thick curtain that goes all the way to the ground. This curtain was a sheer, see-through, short curtain allowing no privacy.
Since the bathroom also faced the bed, it was at times a little awkward. Even for us, it was odd and we've been married over 5 years living in a trailer home.
Where to Eat
Creekside American Bistro
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this is one of the more popular restaurants in Sedona. The best part is the view and they even have outdoor seating to take in all the red rocks around you.
We found this place on the internet because it was one of the only "brunch" places that even comes up. Once we saw all of their vegan options we decided this was the place for us. The best vegan option is the bento box because it comes with several options to try, all of which are delicious.
As we typically do to avoid crowds, we got there at a brunch "off-time" and we were able to get a table outside with a view of the red rock mountains. There is nothing like drinking hot tea and starting at Sedona mountains while enjoying the sunshine.
Sedonuts
The name is the best part of this donut shop but it also has some delicious options. The shop is owned by a husband and wife and we are all for supporting small business couples.
It's also located right on the main strip so it's easy to get some donuts no matter where you are in Sedona. We grabbed a big box and enjoyed them all weekend long.
Vino De Sedona
This wine bar was the perfect eating spot while also getting in a quick wine tasting. They have a large patio making it great for meeting up with friends.
The coolest part was being able to pick a bottle right from the shelf then enjoy it at your seat. We have been to other wineries where you get charged a corking fee. At Vino De Sedona there was no extra cost to grab the bottle and enjoy it with your food.
The food was legit and had more options than we were expecting. The menu is about 2 pages with a great list of flatbread pizzas and fancy salads.
We also took home a small bottle of Champagne after lunch to enjoy with our dinner at home. We loved that they had options of bigger, average and smaller bottles to choose from.
What to Do
Devil's Bridge
There are a lot of hikes to choose from in Sedona but the best is Devil's Bridge. It's a naturally occurring sandstone bridge and the sights are amazing.
It's a very popular hike so we were happy to go early and avoid the crowds. We started the hike at five in the morning and did the first few miles in the dark. This way we were at the arch by sunrise.
The hike is a moderate intensity with some elevation gains but only a few miles long. There are a few ways to get to the main hiking trail. We choose the Mescal trail as it's easy to get to and mostly flat.
Creekside Coffee
They claim to be a "brew with a view" and they do not disappoint. It's the perfect spot to get a drink while relaxing and enjoying the Sedona scenery. All the windows give amazing views on the inside. Then, the wrap around porch gives amazing views on the outside.
They have more than enough seating available and it's right by some stores you can always check out. Since we arrived in Sedona before being able to check in to our room, it was a perfect rest stop and time to even work on the blog.
