Parkway Lakes Morgan Hill RV Park Review
Finding a house or apartment in the Bay Area can be difficult. Finding one that is affordable and doesn't require a long drive can be like finding a needle in a haystack.
Luckily, we found Parkway Lakes Morgan Hill RV Park. It was close to our work, a short drive from San Jose, and wasn't too expensive for the bay area.

Overall: 3.25/5
Location: 3/5
If you are looking for somewhere that is closer to the Bay Area, this might not be your best choice. But for a close area to San Jose and the South Bay, this is the place to be.
Morgan Hill has a bunch of businesses that make you feel like you are living in a big city but they also have open spaces to enjoy. You can go hiking in a state park and on your way home stop by a restaurant to pick up food.
The park itself sits near a busy road so you do get a little traffic noise but it is not too loud. There is an area to walk back to a lake and because the area surrounding is farmland and open spaces, you don't feel like you are stuck in the city.
Amenities: 3/5
This park is middle of the road when it comes to amenities. They have a clubhouse although it is pretty limited overall and only open during normal business hours. In the clubhouse is a TV, some books and movies you can borrow as well as some vending machines.
They also have a laundry room with four washing machines and six dryers. The laundry room can fill up if you are doing laundry after work or on weekends so it is best to do it during the day if possible.
They have a pool you can use as well which is not the nicest pool but it does the job during hot summer days. They also have a hiking trail that you can use behind the park for a little exercise.
Price: 3/5
The price can be a little high but this is a park that only allows monthly spaces. That means you pay one price no matter what which is kind of nice and takes some of the guesswork away.
The monthly price is around $1,250 and can vary a little bit depending on how much electricity you use. That price includes water, electricity, and sewage so you only have one monthly bill.
The park is run by a very nice couple but the park is owned by a corporation. That means you do have to fill out an application, they run a credit check and you have to put down a deposit. We got our full deposit back about a month after we moved out.
Taking into account the fact that this park is located in the South Bay area, the price, while a little high, is actually pretty good. The closer you get to San Jose, the more expensive everything gets so paying a little less to live 30 minutes away is a tradeoff worth making.
Spaces: 4/5
The whole park is paved and relatively level although it does depend on what space you get. They don't have a lot of open spaces because they have mostly long term residents so you won't have a lot to choose from.
The space we got was one of the smaller spaces but we were able to fit easily with our tiny trailer. Most of their spaces have easy access to electric and water hookups and sewage is usually set off to the side.
Overall: 3.25/5
Overall Parkway Lakes Morgan Hill RV Park is a little bit above average. If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay around the South Bay area, this is a great option. From the amenities to the price, everything about this park provides good value. Just remember, they only have monthly spots so you have to be here long term to make it worth it.
